Oatmeal…Excellent for your heart! I eat steel cut oats, the quick cook ones, from Trader Joes. I try to make a bunch and freeze in jumbo muffin tins, but I’m not always that organized. They are a pain to prepare every day, even in the microwave. You have to be sure your container is way bigger than the amount you’re cooking, it rises and falls as it cooks, and I’ve had many horrible messes in there…But you know, rolled oats are better than no oats! ; ) A little chopped apple, honey and some almonds, and you’re good to go! This is perfect weather for something warm (and comforting)!
